The Lexington that never was: Topgolf 🏌️ Lexington had four options for the 17-acre high street redevelopment of the lot across from Rupp Arena. In the same site as Town Branch Park, the Cox Street parking lot has had previous proposals and uses. A city water feature that would give water, a natural meeting place for people, that Lexington lacked in the 1980s. In the 2000s, 98.1 The Bull hosted free Fourth of July concerts hosting thousands watching from the lot and via duct. In this current location in Lexington will now be Town Branch Park, a 10-acre recreational area including a splash park, dog park, amphitheater and walking paths. Marrillia Design and Construction has been awarded the Bluegrass Community and Technical College’s (BCTC) new classroom building on the Newtown North Campus 👀 The $9.7 million facility will house their Dental Hygiene program, Cosmetology program and Assessment Center. The project will include shared spaces such as a large lobby and reception area, meeting/conference room, communications suite, break areas, security office and other support spaces. This project is designed by @eoparchitects Architects.
