Yext, an agentic marketing platform out of New York City, reached a definitive agreement in late September to acquire Flamel.ai, with the transaction expected to close by Jan. 31, 2027, according to a company news release.
The acquisition was announced publicly by Cintrifuse Engagement Director Abby Grimm during opening remarks at CincyStartup Week 2026.
Flamel.ai is an AI-powered marketing and content management platform built for franchises and multi-location businesses. The platform uses AI to help companies manage content and marketing campaigns across large networks of individual locations, effectively centralizing control over branding and messaging in a single hub.
Flamel’s platform includes tools for managing Google Business Profiles, email and SMS campaigns, SEO content and paid advertising. The company helps brands create and distribute localized campaigns across major digital platforms, including Google, Facebook and ChatGPT, among others.
Yext is a software company that provides businesses with tools to manage and optimize their online marketing, including online reviews, local webpages, website search, social media and analytics. One of Yext’s primary offerings, Scout, is an AI-powered search and competitive intelligence tool that helps companies track how their brands and individual locations appear across both traditional search engines and AI platforms.
Yext detailed plans to integrate Flamel into its overall product offerings, bolstering Scout’s ability to analyze data. With Flamel’s technology, Yext will be able identify markets where clients are underperforming and adjust advertising spending, targeting and creative materials accordingly. In turn, this could make advertising spending more efficient for multi-location and franchise clients.
“Every marketer knows the frustration of paying for a click they would have earned anyway,” Yext CEO and Chairman Michael Walrath said in the news release. “Scout already sees where each location is winning and where it's losing to competitors. Bringing paid media execution into Yext lets marketers spend where it changes the outcome, not where they're already ahead.”
Flamel.ai was founded by Paul Ehlinger in Covington in 2022. The company still resides within the city, operating out of SparkHaus.
Middle Tech reached out to Ehlinger for comment regarding the acquisition. This story will be updated upon receiving a response.
